Newborn sessions are so very important as newborns are little for such a short amount of time. In the first month alone a newborn changes drastically! First comes baby acne (that a professional should know how to remove), peely skin, soft wrinkly fingers that start to smooth out after a few weeks, even hair color can start to change. Babies begin to sleep less and aren’t as mold-able for posing/wrapping. I myself recently had a new baby girl in November and it’s so crazy how much she has changed. I hired my own photographer for her pictures that were captured at day 7 of life, when I did her pictures at day 17 there was already a HUGE difference in her appearance. Her head was more oval and less cone-headish and her hair color was adjusting. Even now at 4 months old her hair is STILL changing! I’m excited to do her 1 year portraits this winter to compare her newborn pictures.
